BTM/2P/500/7600/B/G Double Pillar Tote Dumper This Tote Dumper is designed to lift and tip a 500 Kgs Pallet Box container (1160mm L x 1160mm W x 1160mm H) at a discharge height of 7600mm. The Tote Dumper is manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel, is a welded construction throughout and is designed to be bolted to the floor. The lifting is accomplished via chains driven by a motor gearbox mounted at the top of the one column with a crossover shaft to the other column. This Tote Dumper was supplied with an inner and outer lifting carriage. When the lift carriage reaches and activates the full up limit switch at a tip angle of 130 degrees, at this position, the inner lift carriage falls forwards against 2 off adjustable stops to allow a maximum tip angle of 170 degrees. This action was controlled via a pneumatic cylinder with flow restrictors to adjust the rate at which the full box moves. The product was discharged into an enclosed stainless steel chute which fed through a lid on top of the receiving vessel. Safety Guard to BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards This Tipper was supplied complete with a safety guard to meet the guidelines of BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards. The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 1.5mm stainless steel sheet which encloses the Tote Dumper to a height of approximately 10 Meters on all sides with a pair of hinged guard doors through which the boxes are loaded. The guard doors are electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the Tote Dumper from operating when a door is open. Additionally, the guard doors can only be opened when the lift carriage is at the full down position to prevent access whilst a load is raised. Tote Dumper Electrical ControlThis Tote Dumper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the Safety Guard at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). The control panel incorporates the following controls; Up, Down, Guard Release, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site. The Tote Dumper operation is latched so that pressing the ‘Up’ push button once will raise the lift to the full tip position. Once the product has been discharged, after an adjustable time period, the Tote Dumper will return to the full down position. The control panel has a volt free pair of contacts which can be used to connect a ‘Call to Run’ signal if required.
