HHS/250/626-2292/B Stainless Steel Screw Lift
This Stainless Steel Screw Lift was designed to lift a stainless steel receiver hopper to a height of 2292mm from the floor and had a Safe Working Load of 250 Kgs. Once at this height, it can be rotated manually to the rear to allow an Intermediate Bulk Container to be loaded into position on a Floor Mounted Scale. After the IBC is loaded, the Receiver Hopper is rotated manually by the operator to align directly above the IBC for the filling activity to take place.
When an IBC is not in position, the Receiver Hopper can be lowered to the full down position which will be 626mm off the floor. At this full down position, the hopper can be manually rotated forwards towards the operator for further maintenance or hygiene access.
The Stainless Steel Screw Lift was constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel and was designed be bolted to the floor with an additional brace to the access platform. The lifting is accomplished via a machined ball screw and lifting nut mounted within the lift column driven by a motor gearbox.
Stainless Steel Screw Lift Electrical Control
This Stainless Steel Screw Lift is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted at a suitable position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site.
The Stainless Steel Screw Lift has dual pushbutton control complete with simultaneous relays and works on a ‘hold to run’ basis The ‘Up’ or ‘Down’ pushbuttons must be held for the Stainless Steel Screw Lift to operate and as soon as a button is released, the Stainless Steel Screw Lift will stop. There is also an additional proximity switch used to detect the top of the Matcon IBC when the lift is lowered. When the proximity switch detects the top of the Matcon IBC, the Stainless Steel Screw Lift will stop and can only be raised from that position.
