BTH/250/920/M/G Waste Bin Tipper This Waste Bin Tipper is designed to lift and tip your 240 Litre Wheelie Bin at a discharge height of 920mm and has a Safe Working Load of 250 Kgs. The Waste Bin Tipper is constructed from stainless steel and is mobile on two fixed and two swivel braked castors. This Waste Bin Tipper is powered via a hydraulic powerpack and would tip the waste bin by the extension of a hydraulic cylinder to an angle of 30 degrees past the horizontal. The hydraulic cylinder is fitted with a safety check valve such that even in the unlikely event of a hydraulic hose failure, the raised bin will not fall to the floor. Safety Guarding to BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery This Waste Bin Tipper is supplied complete with a safety guard to meet the guidelines of BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery. The existing safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and is filled with 40mm aperture x 3mm wire stainless steel weld mesh. It encloses the wheelie bin tipper to a height of 2200mm on all sides with a hinged guard door through which the Waste Bin is loaded. We would propose to add a section of guarding at the tipping position to prevent access to the machine operation at this position. This new section of guarding would be constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm box section with a 2.0mm stainless steel sheet infill. One of these panels will be fitted with clear polycarbonate to allow the Dolaf Bin to be clearly visible whilst ensuring that when glass is tipped there is no risk to anyone in the area. The guard doors are electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the Waste Bin Tipper from operating with a door open. In addition, we only allow the guard doors to be opened when the lifting carriage is at the full down position. Waste Bin Tipper Electrical ControlThis Waste Bin Tipper is fitted with an IP65 Stainless Steel Control Panel which is mounted on the main column at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). The control panel incorporates the following controls; Up, Down, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. The Waste Bin Tipper operation is on a hold to run principle so that the Up or Down buttons must be held for the Waste Bin Tipper to lift or lower. There is a Guard Release Button that will release both Guard Interlocks on a timer to allow either door to be opened.
