BTH/500/800/B/G Hydraulic Crate Tipper
This Hydraulic Crate Tipper is designed to lift and tip a Plastic Container (1020mm Long x 735mm Wide x 740mm High) at a discharge height of 800mm. The Hydraulic Crate Tipper is a TIG welded construction throughout and was designed to be bolted to the floor at the edge of a plinth. This Hydraulic Crate Tipper was powered via a hydraulic powerpack and tipped the containers by the extension of a pair of stainless steel hydraulic cylinders to an angle of 30 degrees past the horizontal. The hydraulic cylinders are fitted with a safety check valve such that even in the unlikely event of a hydraulic hose failure, the raised bin will not fall to the floor. The lift carriage was fitted with a tipping chute that directed the cans into a skip.
Safety Guard to BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards
This Tipper was supplied complete with a safety guard to meet the guidelines of BS EN 14120:2015 Safety of Machinery Guards. The safety guard is constructed from 40 x 40 x 3mm stainless steel box section and 2.0mm stainless steel sheet. The safety guard encloses the Hydraulic Crate Tipper to a height of 2200mm on two sides, 800mm on the tipping side with a pair of hinged guard doors on the fourth side. The guard doors are electrically and mechanically interlocked preventing the Hydraulic Crate Tipper from operating when the door is open.
Additionally, the guard door can only be opened when the lift carriage is at the full down position to prevent access whilst a load is raised. Also included was a Remote Emergency Stop Button mounted inside the safety enclosure and the Interlock Switch had a manual release accessible from inside the safety enclosure.
Hydraulic Crate Tipper Electrical Control
This Hydraulic Crate Tipper is fitted with an IP65 Control Panel which is mounted on the main frame at a convenient position to give good maintenance access under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998 (PUWER). Upper and Lower end of travel limit switches are positioned to prevent inadvertent adjustment or damage but are easily adjustable by trained personnel for fine adjustment on site.
The control panel incorporates the following controls; Up, Down, Guard Release, Emergency Stop and a Reset Facility. The Hydraulic Crate Tipper operation is latched such that once the ‘Up’ push button is pressed the Hydraulic Crate Tipper will travel to the full tipped position. Once the ‘Down’ push button is pressed, it w Hydraulic Crate Tipper ill return to the full down position. The control panel has a volt free pair of contacts which can be used to connect a ‘Call to Run’ signal if required.
